Shahed Ezaydi is a writer and editor, specialising in features and reporting on culture, social issues and feminism. She’s currently working as a full-time writer at Stylist Magazine, as well as being the editor of the Peaks of Colour Nature Journal. Shahed is also the author of The Othered Woman: How White Feminism Harms Muslim Women, which is her debut book and due to be released next year.
Shahed will take you through her career as both a magazine journalist and an author, then share how a magazine works before breaking down what exactly makes a good feature - from idea generation, headlines, to the narrative structure of non-fiction writing.

Tickets are also sold in Clifton Library on Wednesday morning 10.30- 12.30 (card payments can be taken on Wednesday mornings) and then during library opening hours on Thursday (1pm-5pm), Friday (10am-2pm) and Saturday (10-2pm) where we can only accept cash.
