Before turning to fiction, she wrote for national newspapers, glossy magazines, and niche publications across Australia and the UK - covering everything from celebrity interviews to construction sites, fashion shoots to food reviews, activism to, memorably, the mysterious allure of water coolers.
In this Young Writers Workshop, Rachel brings her boundless curiosity and industry know-how to help participants
discover their own creative spark. With tips on craft, confidence, and resilience, she’ll share how a career spent exploring every corner of the writing world can fuel your own storytelling - whatever shape it takes.

Tickets are also sold in Clifton Library on Wednesday morning 10.30- 12.30 (card payments can be taken on Wednesday mornings) and then during library opening hours on Thursday (1pm-5pm), Friday (10am-2pm) and Saturday (10-2pm) where we can only accept cash.
