After training in London, she became a consultant in Somerset in 2001, where she still lives with her husband and their dog, Rose. In her bestselling The Book About Getting Older and her latest The Golden Rule, Lucy writes warm, wise and practical books inspired by her patients and their families, tackling the complicated, touching, and often funny challenges of ageing.
Her work brings compassion, clarity and humour to the messy, meaningful business of growing older - and helps us
all do it a little better.
