Deborah will talk about how The Best Exotic Marigold came about, how it was made into a film, and how it changed our perception of ageing and the possibilities of starting again. She’ll also talk about her latest novel The Black Dress, about a woman in her sixties who, abandoned by her husband, takes her desperation to a new level when she starts gatecrashing strangers’ funerals.

Tickets are also sold in Clifton Library on Wednesday morning 10.30- 12.30 (card payments can be taken on Wednesday mornings) and then during library opening hours on Thursday (1pm-5pm), Friday (10am-2pm) and Saturday (10-2pm) where we can only accept cash.
