RU CALLENDER WHAT REMAINS: Grief, Rituals and Redefining Funerals
Sat 15th Nov 2025 6.30pm Christ Church, Crypt

A radical undertaker, Callender challenges the idea that traditional high-street funeral directors are the only option, championing authentic, meaningful rituals for both the dead and the living.
In What Remains, he shares his maverick approach to the final rite of passage. He’ll be in conversation with Ruth
Sidgwick - independent celebrant for birth, relationships, and death - who believes every ceremony should reflect
the individual it honours. Be prepared for an unflinching, heartfelt, and sometimes surprisingly funny conversation
about death, dying, and the art of saying goodbye.

Tickets available via the website as below, or on the door if still available. Tickets are also sold in Clifton Library on Wednesday morning 10.30- 12.30 (card payments can be taken on Wednesday mornings) and then during library opening hours on Thursday (1pm-5pm), Friday (10am-2pm) and Saturday (10-2pm) where we can only accept cash.
