Ambridge is the epitome of a traditional English village (despite having recently acquired a charging station for electric
cars). It’s a place where everyone knows their neighbours, and meets them regularly in The Bull, at the stables, the village shop, and of course the church, St. Stephens. Today we are happy to welcome Alan Franks (John Telfer), the vicar, to whom Ambridge residents turn when in need f solace, and also his lawyer wife, Usha (Souad Faress), who can always be relied on for a bit of legal advice.
It’s a rare story that doesn’t involve one or other of them. Scriptwriter Caroline will take you backstage, to reveal the
well-oiled machine that gets stories devised, then written, recorded and edited, ready for broadcast.
